Location: Bristol based with hybrid working (2 days minimum on site).
Salary & Benefits: £39,878 to £47,752 per annum DoE + pension + private medical

NCC is a UK defence innovation partner. We’re expanding rapidly and supporting a range of interesting new projects in the Defence, Energy, Space, Marine and Technology sectors. We’re a medium sized not for profit company, with a wonderful collaborative culture.
We’re hiring for a new role in our People Innovation team to support customer skills development. If you’ve got a background managing the delivery of training or learning and development projects this might be the role for you!
The innovation skills project focuses on amplifying an innovative mindset across the Defence sector, delivering measurable improvements in collaborative capability.
Reporting to the People Innovation Enablement Lead, you’ll come onboard during the 2nd year of this project, initially for a years fixed term contract to support the 2nd year project delivery activities.
You’ll work within a team to support the delivery of:
- Innovation workshops and sandpit events
- Pan Enterprise skills gap analysis and training recommendation
- Development of Engineer networks
- Convening of collaborative working groups
Responsibilities to include:
- Day-to-day management of the project technical delivery team, ensuring that tasks are delivered on time, within budget and within the quality threshold.
- Technical delivery of project activities, working in collaboration with the delivery team.
- Stakeholder management with external stakeholders
- Ensure delivery against agreed KPI’s, milestones and risk management plans.
Skills Required:
- Experience working as a project manager (or equivalent role) with experience of leading formal projects.
- Prior experience within the field of Training, Skills or Learning & Development,
- Prior experience delivering training projects
- Experience working with external 3rd parties and external communications.
- Desirable: Experience within the Defence sector
- Desirable: Understanding of Agile methodology
