Engineering & Manufacturing | NCC HQ & Multi‑Site Support
We’re looking for a committed and proactive internal colleague to step into the role of Deputy Stores Manager, supporting the continued development of a high‑performing Stores function at the NCC.
This is a key operational role, contributing directly to the efficiency, safety and reliability of our warehouse and logistics activities. You’ll help shape how we work, champion best practice, and ensure our Stores service continues to meet the needs of our engineering and project teams.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing delegated first‑line supervision and supporting the day‑to‑day running of Stores across NCC sites.
- Driving continuous improvement, developing digital warehouse processes, and supporting KPI delivery.
- Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and supporting AS9100‑aligned processes.
- Overseeing day-to-day Stores operations (Goods‑In, Stock Control, Dispatch, Logistics, and Lifting & Handling).
- Acting as primary zone owner, ensuring safe working practices and supporting 5S standards across NCC‑HQ.
- Lead the focus on Zone Ownership within the team.
- COSHH Awareness around handling and waste.
- Deputising for the Manufacturing Services Manager when required.
What You’ll Bring
Essential:
- Strong experience in engineering, stores, logistics or warehouse management.
- Supervisory or managerial experience.
- Forklift and crane qualifications.
- Confident working with technical instructions, data, and quality processes.
- A professional, customer‑focused approach with a commitment to safe working.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 material handling best practice.
Desirable:
- Aerospace manufacturing experience.
- Full UK driving licence.
- DGSA qualification.
