About The Role

At the National Composites Centre we’re building the future of Composites, so when industry wants to advance they come to us. And when they come to us, you're there to make things happen.

The Civil Aerospace team is experiencing a high level of growth and so we're looking for Project Managers with technical backgrounds at various levels to support the next phases of our Aerospace programmes.

You’ll be a key figure in our Civil Aerospace programmes team and take on a variety of activities throughout the project lifecycle, from bids and quotes through to project delivery and closure.

The Civil Aerospace team manages a large portfolio of complex and innovative projects that guarantee the next generation of aircraft, and aims to deliver on some of the most complex engineering challenges ever faced by the sector. Working closely with a wide range of customers, you’ll have the opportunity to influence new projects and make your mark. And with the NCC's commitment to staff development, who knows where this will take you?

So what are we looking for?

  • Engineers with technical backgrounds – preferably in Aerospace of composites (or both) who are looking to either move into Project Management or develop on your existing Project Management skills
  • Experience working on Composites projects and/or within the Aerospace sector would be a big bonus, or equivalent experience within other engineering contexts
  • A strong “can do” attitude coupled with a drive to deliver
  • Experience of customer engagement and stakeholder management would be desirable
  • Strong communicators who are able to support high-profile customers and work closely with internal stakeholders to build success

You’ll join a superb team with a reputation for delivery. Your role will build upon that reputation, enhancing your career, your team, and the status of the National Composites Centre in industry. We're on an upward trajectory at the moment, with plans to expand our sector reach and broaden the composite technologies into a variety of sectors, making this a positive step forward for us, and for you.

What do we offer in return?

Flexible working patterns, company paid private medical insurance, great people, honorary staff status at the University of Bristol, a genuine focus on learning and development, and a chance to build your career in a thriving R&D facility with a bright future.

We see your future in ours. Apply now.
