About The Role

The National Composites Centre is making innovative new technologies within light-weight and sustainable materials a reality. But it's not just world-leading R&D solutions that we offer.

Since 2019, our Skills and Workforce Development team have been providing a suite of tailored courses and training solutions to a variety of customers that want to learn more about composite technologies, and their workload is growing. This is where you come in.

As Project Lead within Skills & Training, you’ll manage a variety of projects focused on delivering high-quality training and educational resources to a wide range of customers. Thanks to the open-access nature of NCC, no two projects are the same, from national DFE-funded programmes, to bespoke, private-venture projects designed to upskill and reskill customer workforces.

You’ll liaise directly with customers to understand their training requirements, work with engineers and training resources to ensure the effective delivery of your projects, and ensure that projects are delivered to time, cost and quality.

So what are we looking for?

  • A strong core skillset within project management is vital. You will have proven experience of managing projects from start to finish, from stakeholder/customer management, to budgeting, managing large amounts of data, reporting and leading a project team
  • You’re organized, and able to manage a busy and varied workload with a high level of competency in MS Office; particularly Excel and Project.
  • Experience within a manufacturing / research and development environment setting would be a big bonus!

What do we offer in return?

Flexible working patterns, company paid private medical insurance, great people, honorary staff status at the University of Bristol, a genuine focus on learning and development, and a chance to build your career in a thriving R&D facility with a bright future.

We look forward to your application.
