About The Role

As Deputy Chief Engineer for Hydrogen, you’ll take a key role in guaranteeing the technical quality of engineering output of programmes within the NCC’s Hydrogen portfolio and support the future direction of research in this evolving area. You'll lead some of our major upcoming programmes, working with senior PMs and engineers from across the business to ensure technical excellence in delivery. And with the wide range of technologies that feed into these programmes, from design to automation, digital engineering to materials, this is an opportunity to boost your experience and take a leading role. 

So what are we looking for?

  • Leadership - You have some experience as a technical leader, with a record of ensuring high technical standards. Composite experience is not essential but highly desirable. You will be working cross sector, so you must be adaptable.
  • Strategy - You will take a key role in evolving and delivering our strategy so experience of structuring research programmes to meet top level objectives is highly desirable
  • Hydrogen – The role takes a vital, strategic place within our Hydrogen team, so an interest in or specific sector knowledge of Hydrogen innovation is critical
