A world-leading R&D centre needs world-class Health & Safety. This is when you come in.

As Health &Safety Advisor you'll support the development of systems, policies, behaviours and practices to guarantee that the NCC meets and exceeds compliance standards and best practice in H&S.

Reporting into the Head of QHSE, and through building relationships with a wide range of business stakeholders, you'll influence and inspire others to take ownership of H&S, and help to embed a collaborative H&S culture. You'll be a vital point of contact for ad-hoc H&S advice, and support the development of systems and procedures empowering people to work in the most efficient and safest way.

So what are we looking for? 

  • You have proven demonstrative experience of supporting a value-added H&S function, ideally within a manufacturing context 
  • You're an adept communicator, with the confidence to embed yourself as a presence within the business as a subject-matter expert for all things H&S
  • You have experience of working within bespoke QHSE management systems, and have the proficiency to ease into new IT systems to support the running of the QHSE function at NCC  
  • Ideally you will have experience within the below:
    • Incident investigation, reporting writing
    • Knowledge of ISO 45001
    • Lead Auditor to relevant H&S standards
    • H&S Training experience, able to develop and deliver H&S guidance and training to varied audiences
    • NEBOSH certified
    • Member of IOSH, on the pathway to chartership
