IT Business Analyst (2 year fixed term contract)
£38,917 - £47,851 DOE & Benefits

Advertising End Date:  17th December 2021

The National Composites Centre is at the forefront of the composites revolution. We’re accelerating exciting and innovative new technologies and working with industry to make the future of light-weighting materials a reality. But any world-leading engineering company (and especially such a techy one) needs a world-leading IT team to keep the cogs turning. This is where you come in.

We’ve launched a campaign to invest in and significantly strengthen our IT capability, the likes of which we’ve not seen since we were set up 10 years ago. We’ve secured some amazing new talent, but now need to focus on bringing in a Business Analyst to make the next phase of our development a success.

What do we have planned? We’re expanding our IT Capability as part of a wider investment, so beyond the short-term goals, there’ll be a wider strategic outlook and a pipeline of exciting projects on our IT Portfolio. This role will offer the opportunity to support and assist in multiple projects including the phase 2 implementation of our D365 ERP system, our data centre migration and the phase 2 implementation of Azure Dev Ops. You will be working with NCC business users and IT stakeholders to capture requirements and use cases, working with our Architecture team and suppliers to translate the business requirements into solutions.

You will have experience of working in a Business Analyst role, as well as this you will be ISEB qualified or have an equivalent certification. Ideally you will have experience in working in a hybrid Business Analyst role with ability to work in either a traditional waterfall or agile project environment. As well as knowledge of the requirements lifecycle you will also have experience of business process analysis and the creation of business cases.

We see our success in yours. The future of composites manufacturing relies on the NCC, and we rely on the right individuals to make it happen, whether they’re engineers or not!

Diverse challenges – the NCC isn’t just about aerospace. We’re working with over 16 sectors and a variety of customers, from private ventures to the global tier 1 companies, providing variety to your experience

Innovation – a world-leading research and development centre, the work we do brings novel and innovative solutions to industry, with the future firmly in mind. So we need innovating thinking not just in Engineering, but across all support functions (IT included!)

Development in composites, and you – if the scope of exciting work isn’t enough to sway you, our ethos of continued learning and development and flexible working patterns will.

We look forward to hearing from you.
