The National Composites Centre is now recruiting for a Procurement Apprentice. This is the perfect place to start a career in Purchasing/Procurement with easy links to Finance or Project Management. This apprenticeship starts in September/October 2021.
 
How the apprenticeship works:
You'll embark on a 24 month course. The first 18 months represent the formal CIPS Level 4 Diploma qualification followed by the last six months comprising of an assessment stage. 

The Diploma consists of eight modules (6 multiple-choice exams and 2 essay-based exams). For each module, you'll have 2 tuition days and access to online e-learning suite (Virtual Purchasing Academy). You will also receive a copy of the CIPS Study Guide for each module as you go through the course. 

Once you have passed your Diploma, you progress through to start your project. This consists of a 5000-word report on a work-based project carried out and a Q&A session which demonstrates and utilises the skills / knowledge gained from the Diploma.

From a time perspective, you'll spend 20% of your working week doing “Off the Job” training. This could include shadowing, holding/participating in meetings relevant to your course subject matter, revision etc.
