About The Role

As an Engineering Capability Lead at the NCC, your role is vital. When you're not leading a team of capable, proactive individuals across all career levels, managing, and supporting them as they strive toward unique goals, you're advocating for your capability across NCC, and to industry stakeholders. You’ll also be defining the strategy for future development for the NCC’s Manufacturing Engineering Capability.

So, what are we looking for?

  • You can manage, develop, and inspire a high-performing team.
  • You have the appetite for driving change and continuous improvement within the Manufacturing Engineering team, and the rest of the Engineering Operations - Design group.
  • You have a breadth of experience of delivering engineering products across different sectors, through different stages of the lifecycle.

What experience would be useful?

Manufacturing: Do you have experience in leading manufacturing processes? Do you have a proven background in manufacturing or production?

We are looking for an ECL that can lead by example and implement best practice in all aspects of manufacturing.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Creating and evaluating quality control process and implementing continuous improvement & manufacturing governance
  • Lean Six Sigma Qualifications and/ or experience will be a bonus along with experience of root cause analysis activities
  • Delivering and leading research projects from a manufacturing perspective
  • Leading New Product Introduction processes and principles.
